MICHAEL’S STORY

I came to Israel from Morocco and grew up in Be’er Sheva, when the city was still small and old.
Mother always took care of us. It was hard for me to separate from her, but I grew up with a foster family. Most of the time I was close with my twin brother and another brother who grew up in Jerusalem, and I would come to visit my sister who married her soulmate and lives in Dimona.
After I finished my basic training in IDF and studying in Feuerstein where I met my first love for the first time.
I moved to Amit and moved to the off-site apartment, I progressed quickly and responsibly, and I’ve been working for 25 years at Nir Tzvi grocery store.
We’ve traveled all across the country in many trips and even across the world.
I love traveling and spending money on clothes, ceramics, sculptures and tech for my smart phone.
It’s fun to spoil myself with the money I earned. Today I live in a room with my new love.
I am a crucial worker at my job. The store wouldn’t run without me.
